As you may have guessed from the name, multinational craft beer chain BrewDog is very dog-friendly. Dogs are welcome in each of their 47 bars, and their head office in Scotland has 50 office dogs.

However, they have now taken this a step further, launching a new Puppy Parental Leave scheme for all members of staff.

“We know only too well that having a new arrival – whether a mewling pup or unsettled rescue dog – can be stressful for human and hound both. So we are becoming the first in our industry to give our staff a working week’s leave on us to help settle a new furry family member into their home.”

This new company perk is being offered to all BrewDog staff members across the globe – and it’s certainly the first time we’ve heard of any company offering this great benefit to staff members. What staff perks could you offer your staff members, to help your organisation to be a great place to work?

Brewdog was founded in 2007 by James Watt and Martin Dickie in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire. They now employ over 450 members of staff, and as well as owning 47 bars globally (with 2 more launching in the US soon), they export their bottled craft beers to over 50 countries. They aim to make other people as passionate about craft beer as they are, and “to be the best company to work for, ever.”
